Prof. Jugoslav P. Karamarković received the Dipl. Ing. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Department of Engineering Physics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1987 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia, in 1996. As an R&D engineer he was with the Ei-Semiconductors from 1987 until 1991 when he moved to University of Nis. As an Associate Professor he currently teaches engineering physics at Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Niš. In 2001 he was the guest scientist at German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt), Berlin. His research interests are in analytical, numerical and stochastic modelling of different physical processes. It started with modelling of the semiconductor devices in his PhD Thesis, continued with stochastic modelling of breakdown processes in gases and widen lately in physical optics ray tracing modelling of terahertz waves.
